Escher's Drone started out as a study of M. C. Escher's lithograph "Hand With Reflecting Sphere." As you can see, it eventually took on a mind of its own.
It had rained earlier in the day, and some of the water droplets were still present on the handrail leading up from the basement studio space.
I took this in my studio, because I really liked the way the light from its various sources played across the page of my sketch book.
